****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Howdy everyone and thanks for calling by the baliwaves (’99) for a look at today’s surfing and weather conditions from here on the No.1 surfing holiday destination of Bali.
So as I mentioned in this mornings Twitter up date wave height on the Outer Reefs was still only showing in the 2-3ft range with the occasional bigger freak set hitting Middle Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions were clean with the wind blowing off shore out of the SE @ 8-12knot.
Just for something different I cruised up along the Kuta / Legian strip of beach breaks with my mate Devis Ratif to see what was happening. Not a lot was going down at “Half Way” Kuta but we did manage to find some nice little waves hitting the Padma St sand bank. As you can see in today’s 46 strong photo gallery Bali’s beach breaks are World class (for beach breaks anyway). Wave height was a consistent shoulder to head high and also with the occasional bigger freak set. Only around 15 surfers scattered on this section of sand.
Weather wise here on the holiday island today it’s been a mainly hot and humid morning with some scattered cloud drifting over. Currently right now @ 2.30PM the outside temperature is sitting on 29 degree’s Celsius and the humidity at 66%. Wind direction is still coming out of the SE but now gusting u to 20knots.
