****MORNING SURF UP DATE****
Howdy friends and surfers and a big warm welcome back to the baliwaves (’99) for today’s news on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the only sane choice for the complete surfing holiday experience of Bali.
This mornings mandatory surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was, contrary to what the swell predictors were calling. Wave height in fact has had a slight increase in size, with head to almost double head high waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airports. At 7.30AM with the tide just starting to run back in for an expected 2.2mtr High around 12.00 noon there was some nice waves breaking on Middle Reef in the head to well over head high class and some lucky surfers already making the most of it. As the tide gets higher I’d expect some fun waves to be happening on Kuta Reef and both Airport Left and Right. And then Middle Reef should be on again on the afternoon Low tide (6.00PM).
Surfing conditions at the time were still very clean and glassy but with the wind coming lightly out of the NNW @ 3-5knot.
But thanks to the “good old boys” at ESP located in “Julies Warung” right in front of the action at Bingin we’ve got a nice little photo gallery that was shot late yesterday afternoon (but I’ve just finished cuting and editing now). You’ll also find some more Uluwatu action from some of our other good mates, Hendra Surf Photography in our Readers Report page.
Weather wise this morning here on the holiday island we have got off to a nice start with lots of blue sky and sunshine. Currently right now at 11.15AM the outside temperature is sitting on 28 degree’s Celsius , humidity is on 78%. Wind direction is now much better coming out of the SE @ 8-11knot for clean off shore conditions along Bali’s West Coast.
Ok that’s me for now I gotta keep moving and get over to the seafood markets at Jimburan so we can treat our current guests with a Balinese BBQ (your all invited).
