****MORNING SURF UP DATE****
Hello everyone and welcome aboard the baliwaves ’99 for today’s Sunday Session on surfing and weather conditions from here on the friendliest little holiday island destination of Bali.
It was sad this to wake up this morning and here the news of the young Aussie who was tragically electrocuted in the early hours of the morning. Our sympathy goes out to all Jake’s family and friends.
This mornings 7.30AM surf recon of the Outer Reefs was looking way better swell wise with 2-4 footers (waist to over head) breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. As the tide was just starting to run back in there were pretty much waves on all 3 of the main sections with Middle Reef picking up the bigger set waves. Kuta Reef and Airports will improve with more tide.
Surfing conditions were clean enough even though the wind was coming straight out of the West @ 1-3knot. Even now @ 11.00AM there isn’t much wind at all.
Tidal info for today has us down for a 1.9mtr High @ 11.00AM and then running out to a 0.6mtr Low around the 5.00PM mark.
Looking for a wave today, it shouldn’t be too hard at all. The East Coast should have some clean conditions and waves at the better locations. Or you could always settle for low numbers in the water with light onshore wind here on the West Coast. There’s still be plenty of waves from Canggu all the way down to Uluwatu.
Weather wise for Sunday we have got off to another warm start with plenty of blue sky. Right now the Outside temperature is sitting on 31 degree’s Celsius with the Humidity @ 79%. Wind direction is now coming lightly out of the East @ 2-4knot. Sunrise was at 5.49AM and will set @ 6.23PM. The barometer is calling a 100% chance of rain later this evening.
Thanks for taking the time to see what we have going on, I’m thinking it would be good to have another camera (Cannon 7D) so we can shoot photos and video clips everytime we are on the road. So if anyone could lend a helping hand in the aquisitioning of such apparatus please drop us a line and we’ll tell you how to contribute. Any amount you could spare will help big time, we’ll pick up the rest.
