****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hi folks and thanks for calling by the baliwaves (’99) for the latest news on today’s surfing and weather conditions from here on the best value for surfing holiday dollar tropical island of Bali.
And tropical it has indeed been, tropical rain fall today would just about sum up today’s weather report. But anyway we still did what we had to do, find some perfect ways for our crew. We had a lazy breakfast and headed for the East Coast around 9.00AM to coincide with the incoming tide. The way the traffic was out on the highway we almost settled for the Serangan turn off, but luckily for us it thinned back out and we pushed on to our black sanded beach destination.
As you see in today’s photo gallery there were some nices waves both on the beach break and the left hand reef. Crowd wise the beachy had a healthy crowd but the reef only had half a dozen surfers on it. Surfing conditions were clean as with the wind blowing pretty much straight off shore with intermitent rain.
Tidal info for today had us down for a 0.1mtr Low @ 6.30Am and then running back in for a solid 2.1mtr High around 1.00PM.
Weather wise it’s been cloudy with consistent rain pretty well all day, wind direction has been varying from W-NW-WNW. Probably more rain to fall later this evening and into tomorrow.
Holiday time has hit the roads again here in Bali with plenty of slow moving traffic all around the Kuta to Seminyak area. Be prepared as it will remain with us until after the New Year has well and truelly passed.
