****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hello and a big thanks for calling by the baliwaves ’99 for the inside scoop on today’s surfing and weather conditions from right here on every sane surfers “first choice” surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok, so as anyone who has been following my twitter up dates through out today would already have a fair idea of what’s been going down so far. Starting off with the early morning surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban at 6.00AM. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left at the time was showing in the 2-3ft range with the occassional slightly over head wave on Middle Reef. Surfing conditons out there were a little bit wobbly with the wind cross / on shore coming out of the N-NW at 2-4knot.
So my crew and I had a lazy breakfast and headed off toward Canggu around 7.45AM just as the tide was starting to push back in. Apon arrival we were happy enough to see waves on all 3 main section breaking in the chest to head high plus class. Surfing conditions at Canggu were clean and tidy with the wind more off shore through until around 10.45AM when the wind started to swing more W-WSW and increase in strength.
Check out today’s 58 strong photo gallery as by this time tomorrow there will more than likely be a new one on display.
Today’s Tidal info had us down for a 0.1mtr Low @ 7.00AM and then running back in for a 2.0mtr High around the 1.00PM mark.
Weather wise it’s been another warm one here on the holiday island with the midday temperature easily busting into the low 30’s on the Celsius scale. Right now at 4.30PM we do have a lot of cloud moving in with a distant rumble of thunder.
