Howdy folks and welcome to the Year 2012 here with us at the baliwaves. And here’s hoping for a bigger and better year than the last to everyone, full of good health and harmony.

Yesterday to finish off a great year of waves the crew and I decided on heading down to Uluwatu, back to where it all began. At the very least we were going to just chill out in the cliff side warungs. We arrived around 9.45AM with the tide running in and the wind on shore out of the West @ 7-10knot. Wave height was hitting the Main Peak in the 2-3ft range with the occasional bigger set wave. As you can see in the photos I snapped there were a few clean faces with only 8-10 surfers in the water.

This morning here in Tuban there were a few drops of rain through the early hours but now at 8.30Am the sky is clearing up and a good one for the beach coming on. Wind direction is out of the North @ 2-4knot but will more than likely swing around to the western quadrant soon enough.

Well be heading back out for a surf somewhere shortly so have a good one what ever you have got planned, and hopefully we’ll see you over here in Bali in 2012.
Holiday time has hit the roads again here in Bali with plenty of slow moving traffic all around the Kuta to Seminyak area. Be prepared as it will remain with us until after the New Year has well and truelly passed.
