****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hello my fine friends and a very big thank you for taking the time out to drop into the baliwaves.com (’99) for the very latest and greatest news on today’s surfing and weather conditions from right here on your favorite tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
We kicked off this morning with a 6.45AM surf check here on the Outer Reefs of Tuban. And to tell you the truth there was a few sly waves going down for the half a dozen surfers already scattered between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Wave height was breaking in the waist to shoulder high sector with the best waves going down on Middle Reef (low tide). Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with the wind coming out of the North at 0-1knot.
But hey as it shows in today’s 50 strong photo gallery we were down on the extreme southern end of the island at Bali’s premier surfing location of Uluwatu. Arriving at 8.30AM to see waves breaking on all of the 3 main sections of Ulu, from Temple’s down through the Main Peak and the occasional small one running down the Racetrack. On average wave height was in the shoulder to head high range with a few bigger freak sets.Crowd wise there was a bit of traffic between 10.00 – 12.00 noon but by the time we packed up there would have only been a dozen surfers left in the water. Surfing conditions at Uluwatu were clean and tidy through until the wind started to turn to the S-SW around 11.30AM.
Tidal info for today had us down for a 0.2mtr Low @ 6.30AM and then running back in for a 2.5mtr High @ 1.00PM.
Weather wise it’s been another smoker at the beach with nothing but blue sky. Currently right now at 5.00PM the outside temperature is still sitting on 32 degree’s Celsius. Wind direction is South at 4knot.
