****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Howdy partners and a big welcome back to the baliwaves (since ’99) for the very latest and greatest news on today’s surfing and weather conditions from here on the only surfing holiday destination that’s gunna guarantee you get your fill of perfect waves, Bali.
I know I should tell someone who cares… but anyway it’s been another bloody long day for the good guys and I’ve already gone past the 17hr mark for today. So just be consoled in the fact that I’ve loaded up 65+ photos from Canggu yesterday into our Readers Report page, with the cover shot showing the one and only Rizal Tanjung. Then we’ve got another 76 photos I snapped back up at the same location this morning.
This mornings 6.15AM surf check on the Outer Reefs still had wave height showing in the 1-2ft range breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left (hopefully it won’t be too much longer before Kuta Reef will be peeling off dry season perfection again). There was a small wave hitting Middle Reef but surfing conditions were better suited for Canggu with the wind coming out of the North @ 4-6knot.
As it shows in today’s gallery the left hander on the Sand bar was cranking and the local boys were putting on a good show and pure pleasure to photograph. Crowd wise it was pretty quite up there this morning with only around a dozen surfers on the right hander and another 15-20 surfers on the sand bar.
Weather wise it was another hot and steamy one especially up on the black sand beach at Canggu. But hey, who goes on holiday looking for rain and cold weather ?
Has anyone noticed the bigger sized photos (in your face style) that we’ve changed over to last Wednesday, doesn’t really matter I guess cause we like it. Just out of curiosity I had a little flick through the net (google search) for web cams in Bali. There were plenty of big name websites (none from Bali….) boasting web cams, what a hoax, shame shame shame.
There is in fact 1 cam working I know of and another certainty that only needs a little position adjusting for when those long line ups start peeling through Impossibles. Both of these your going to be finding right here on the baliwaves very very soon, so stay tuned.
