April 7th surf report.
Sorry for the late surf report.  Things tend to get put off when Rifles is breaking!  And breaking it was these last few days.  The Billabong “Surf With a Pro” group is here and this is 3 years in a row they have scored great surf.  Shane Dorian and Rasta got some of the best waves ridden at Rifles last year, and it’s looking like Shane and now Peter Mendia are setting the bar pretty high for 2012 with the waves they have been catching!  I attached a few shots.

Rifles has been good, but we have been surfing a bunch of other spots as well.  Everything has been lighting up in front of the resort and most the time we didn’t bother going anywhere else, but we did get waves at Dog Reef (2 pictures attached) and also Hideaways, Bankvaults, and Beng Beng.  People often ask me, “How big will 4 Bobs hold?”  My answer is, “As big as it gets.”  How big is the attached picture of our guests, Leilani, at 4 Bobs on this last swell?  Charging!
Looks like the swell has peaked and will slowly fade, but we’ll be getting plenty of fun surf.
