****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Howdy folks and welcome back to the baliwaves (since ’99) for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from your favorite tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
And I tell ya’s we’ve had a couple of good day’s of surfing over here. Yesterday we set off for an early surf check over to the East coast hoping to find a few sneaky waves at Serangan. Arriving at 7.00AM to find a pretty weak looking 1-2ft wave with a cross shore wind. So we jumped back in the car and headed straight for Uluwatu, where we settled in for the day. I’m pretty sure you have all checked out those photos I snapped. With the Racetrack section starting to fire off some nice tube rides toward mid afternoon.
But this morning we got up a little earlier again and made the run up the West Coast. Pulling into the car park just on 6.30AM to find an empty line up of solid 3 – 4ft waves with a clean off shore wind on it. Then after a lazy breakfast we headed a little further up the coast to Medewi. Wave height here was only in the 2ft range and the Tradewind had already kicked in and on shore on that part of the coastline.
Today’s G-Land surf report thanks to our good friends over at the G-Land Surf Camp was calling wave height to have kicked up into a solid head to well over head high class. At 7.00AM there were some long waves peeling off from Money Tree’s all the way down to the Launch Pad. No surfers in the water at the time of this report. Do you want to be in the water at G-Land without any crowds ? Then drop us a email and we’ll get you packing with a 15% discount at the G-Land Surf Camp.
Weather wise here over here it’s been a mainly hot and sunny day here on the holiday island. Currently right now at 5.00PM the outside temperature is sitting on 30 degree’s Celsius. Wind direction is SE @ 33kmh.
