Hello again to all you surfers tuning into the baliwaves (since ’99) for the absolute latest and greatest news on today’s surfing and weather conditions from here on your favorite tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Well yesterday was a right off for me after a swallowed some kinda tropical type bug the night before which resulted in me spending the entire day in bed, I won’t go into detail..
But anyway the rest of the crew just wandered back down to Kuta Reef and were still satisfied to surf long and windy shoulder to head high plus waves.
My first job this morning was to load 58 photos of the mechanical wave of Bingin that the boys at ESP stokingly dropped off to us the night before last. You can find those photos in our Readers Report page, and you can find the boys at ESP (Ego Surf Photography) down on location in front of Julies Warung at Bingin Beach.
Then I was just in time to make the 6.45Am surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban. And right on que did we have a new swell fireing through waves in the head to double head high range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. There were already surfers on Kuta Reef and it did loo good. Middle Reef was mainly closing out with already too much water over the reef, but some sizey double over head sets.
Just for something different we headed back down the coast to Balangan for hopefully some similar sized waves and maybe, less surfers. Arriving around 8.00AM to find some solid double head high set waves and only 8 other surfers through the line-up, and clean straight off shore Easterly wind. I did manage to shoot a whole bunch of photos through both ends of the tide, so as soon I get them cleaned up I’ll throw em on line for ya’s.
But in the mean time we’ve got another 122 photos from our friends at ESP (Ego Surf Photography) located right in front of the action at Bingin. Hopefully these will tide ya’s over for a little while.
Our friends at the G-Land Surf Camp have also called through at 7.45AM (Bali time) to tell of solid head to double head high waves and the occasional bigger freak sets peeling off down the reef on Money Tree’s with the wind already starting to turn off shore. 3 surfers in the water at the time. Drop me a line if you’d like to get over to G-Land with a little help from the baliwaves.
Tidal info for today had us down for a 2.2mtr High @ 8.00AM and then running out to a 0.5mtr Low around 3.00PM.
Weather wise outside it’s been a mainly warm and sunny day. Currently outside right now at 5.30PM the mercury is sitting on 28 degree’s Celsius, Humidity @ 84%. Wind direction is coming out of the SE @ 13-17knot and straight off shore here on Bali’s West Coast.
For any of you that just want nothing more than a hassle free, get up and go surf perfect waves every morning (pending Huey), see and do what the hotel / resort sect don’t. Well we have some new surfing / accommodation packages that will have you at the right location at the right time everyday. All deals include your own photographer at no extra cost. Hit this info link to find out more. Limited space, so get in early or you’ll be doing it the hard way.
We also have a few “Home Stay” type rooms available for any of our viewers looking for some clean and tidy accommodation here in Tuban close by the Outer Reefs. all rooms are air conditioned, including breakfast for Rp225,000 per night, or Rp275,000 for couples. Best Regards from Bali
