12th – 13th July 2012
****MORNING SURF UP DATE****
Hello everyone and glad to see you checking in to the baliwaves.com (since 1999) for the latest news and views on today’s surfing and weather conditions from right here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Alright yesterday the 12th and the waves and conditions were definitely not ideal. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left was still only in the 1-1ft+ range but with the wind on shore coming out of the SSW. So there wouldn’t have been too many locations, if any, producing good waves in Bali or Indonesia for that matter.
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs was showing a just a slight increase in wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. At 6.45AM surfing conditions were clean and glassy with no wind showing and no surfers in the water. After another quick recon now at 10.00AM with the tide getting towards the bottom of the tide there were a few surfers out riding waves in the waist to almost chest high on Middle Reef. Alas surfing conditions were not optimal but still semi clean for Bali standards, wind direction is now coming out of the S-SSW @ 4-8knot and on shore at most locations.
David from the G-Land Surf Camp called me earlier to say he’s be taking a day off at G-Land today. Apparently wave height over there is also pretty small at knee to chest high. Wind light on shore out of the South. Our man has also emailed us through another short photo gallery that he shot late on the afternoon of the 11th. So seeing as though we won’t be finding anything half decent to shoot for ya’s today in the way of waves I’d though it best to run them on our baliwaves cover.
If your interested in getting some G-Land Experience just contact us on this link and we’ll set you up at the G-Land Surf Camp with a solid discount.
The next tide here in Bali will be a 0.8mtr Low @ 12.15PM.
The next Moon Phase will be a NEW MOON rising on the 18th of July.
Weather wise outside right now at 10.45AM the temperature is sitting on 27 degree’s Celsius with the Humidity at 74%. Wind direction is coming out of the S – SSW at 6-9knot and on shore.
NEWS FLASH: Trade Wind finally kicks in at 11.15AM and a return to clean off shore wind on Bali’s West Coast.
