****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Howdy folks and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com (’99) for today’s news and views on surfing and weather conditions here on the best value for tropical surfing holiday dollar of BALI.
Ok so we are now starting to get back on track with the photos (over) flowing from G-Land, Mentawai Islands and of course from here on the wave magnet island of Bali. The surf cam is still off line and the technicians are working on it. I’m still a little bit buried with email but have already started smashing em out. So hang in there I will get to yours, or if you think it’s priority (and it probably is) re send it to me. It was just too cold for me to type when I was in Australia !
Here in Bali our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban actually had some nice waves ranging in the waist to head high class between Kuta Reef and Airport Left, and even the occasional bigger set wave hitting Middle Reef. Surfing conditions at the time were clean and glassy with just a light NE breath of wind. Right now at 10.00AM and the off shore SE Trade Wind has kicked in so surfing conditions are perfect.
Ketut has taken the camera equipment and hit the road for Uluwatu. He has called through to say that wave height has backed off a touch on the bottom of the tide but with head high waves still peeling down the Racetrack section. So as soon as Ketut gets back to Home Base I’ll throw all this together for you.
Today’s G-Land Surf Report thanks to our friends over at the G-Land Surf Camp came through at 7.00AM. Light on shore wind but the swell appears to have pulsed a little with some solid 5 footers (double head high) breaking on Kongs and 4 footers breaking from Money Tree’s almost down to the Pad. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy at the time and it shouldn’t be too much longer for the off shore wind to arrive and tide start rolling in. David has sent us another 20 quality photos from yesterday afternoons surf session and they will be on line in another 20 mins, so stay stoked on the baliwaves. If your interested in getting some G-Land Experience just contact us on this link and we’ll set you up at the G-Land Surf Camp with a solid discount.
The next tide here in Bali will be a 1.7mtr High @ 2.30PM.
Weather wise it’s been another mainly sunny morning with the odd cloud drifting by. Currently right now at 10.15AM the outside temperature is a nice 27 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is on 84%. Wind direction is coming out of the SE at 6-10knot.
Ok that’s me for now but the boys from The Real Kandui Surf Resort have also sent us through another couple of surf up dates and photo gallery. You’ll find that stuff on their report page.
