Hello, Bali surfers and welcome to the weekend here on the baliwaves (just getting better and better since 1999) for the absolute gospel on today’s surfing and weather conditions from the, now lets get this clear, the only sane choice for your next tropical surfing holiday, BALI.

Last night we had already made our plans for today, and as good soldiers do, we stuck to them. Hitting the road at 6.00AM and heading East, no stops, no detours. Arriving at 6.45AM to find an already crowded main break with 25 surfers on it, but peeling off mechanically in the 2-4ft (chest to well over head high). So plan B, our secondary location was also spitting through perfect waves in the same size range but with only some of my friends from Uluwatu on it. Made Lapur and his crew looked to be having a ball by themselves but didn’t mind sharing some with my crew, showing off their true Balinese spirit.

Surfing conditions didn’t really change for two good surf sessions until the tide started to get lower towards midday. I’m just going to let today’s 90 strong photo gallery speak for me, seeing as though it is Saturday arvo and I reckon we have earnt a cold Bintang or two. Weather wise, perfect, hot, sunny, blue sky and light morning wind, these are just a few words to describe it. Right now at 3.45PM the outside temperature is sitting on 31 degree’s Celsius and the wind is now coming out of the SE at 8-12knot.

Jon’s sms surf report from the beach breaks of Legian was calling 1-2ft+ waves with light wind. A little inconsistent but should improve with the dropping tide.

The Ando’s sms surf report from Canggu was calling lots of waves in the 2-3ft range and lots of surfers to take care of em.
