BALI
16th November 2012
Hello surfers and for tuning into your baliwaves.com (keeping the reports real since 1999) for today’s news on surfing and weather conditions from here on the best value for hard earned tropical surfing holiday dollars, BALI.
Ok so this mornings 6.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs had wave height dropping back a touch, back down to that waist to chest high plus region between Kuta Reef and Airport left. The tide was only just starting to come off the bottom of a very dry and reef exposing Low, so I’m thinkin just like yesterday we might see that little pulse of size and consistency just after lunch. I couldn’t believe it yesterday when I was down on the beach. The morning surf check had hardly anything breaking and then POW just after lunch Middle Reef was reeling off some solid 4 footers. So fingers crossed we might get that 1-2hr window again today. Anywau there were still some fun and clean waves to be had on all 3 main sections.
Surfing conditions on the Outer Reefs were clean and glassy with only the slightest breath of Northerly wind present. Expected to turn to the SE by mid morning, fingers crossed.
But, seeing as though we do have some perfect conditions for Uluwatu’s famous hollow tube ride section “The Racetrack” that’s where I pointed our man Ketut too with the camera equipment. So we will have another new photo gallery for ya’s around lunch time and well worth the wait. Ketut has phoned through to tell of head to well over head high waves barreling down through “The Track” with only 10 surfers out there at 7.15AM.
Weather wise you can just take a quick peak over at our “twitter report” from this morning. But again we had some heavy rain falling through the early hours of the morning. Yesterday afternoon you could see and hear a very heavy looking thunder storm in progress up towards the Seminyak / Canggu area, but nothing happened here in Tuban.
Just a heads up on a little photo loading issue we have had here on the back end of the report loading. We have found a small bug with the photo galleries that is making the same photo load 2-5 times which results in everyone having to do multiple clicks on each image to progress to the next image. Rest assure we are on it and as soon as that’s sorted out I’ll be heading down to Impossible’s to do some webcam tweaking and hopefully get her back on line again. So hang in there crew and give us a little breathing space and all should be back to normal again shortly. Thanks for your patience !
Special Bali accommodation DEAL: Just for the remainder of this month and including December we are offering you an AIR CONDITIONED ROOM WITH BREKFAST for only AU$20.00 a night (single occupant). or AIR CONDITIONED ROOM including BREKFAST + DAILY SURF TRIPS all around Bali for AU$55.00 per day per person. Limited space and limited time so get in first.
I think it’s “Aussie schoolies week” starting up here soon in Bali so be prepared for drunk teenagers in the streets of Kuta, zapping around on motorbikes and generally out of control.
You’ll also find baliwaves on Facebook, twitter (balisurfreport or baliwaves) & instagram (@baliwaves) so get on it !
Feel free to contact us via email about your next trip to Bali and we might just be able to help make it run a little smoother for you.
Best Regards from Bali
Slim
