BALI
19th – 20th December 2012
Hi surfers and welcome back to the baliwaves.com (The original Bali surf report website since 1999) for the latest information on surfing and weather conditions from here on the first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Well yesterday the 19th it wasn’t from a lack of trying that we never found anything half decent to surf or photograph. We started off by heading over to the East Coast but only to find micro sized fat and full waves in the 1-1ft+ range from Keramas to Padang Galak. From there we headed all the way back down to the South Eastern end of the island to Geger Geger beach but only to find more 1-2ft waves and not really worth the effort, well there was a few waves if you were desperate to get wet that’s for sure. But my guys voted no and catch up on some more massage time instead.
I hadn’t been down to Nusa Dua (Geger Beach) since last wet season so I was a little shocked at how fast the new super hotel had gone ahead, and shocked was the exact feeling.
This morning the 20th and there has been no change in weather conditions with the wind coming fresh out of the West and wave height still down in the 1-2ft range on both sides of the island.
Weather wise out there right now at 12.30PM the outside temperature is sitting on 29 degree’s Celsius with the humidity at 79%. Wind direction is coming straight outta the West at 10-13knot. More thunder and lightning storms predicted for later this afternoon / evening.
Hopefully by this time tomorrow we should have some waves and then a new another new swell arriving on Bali’s beach and reef breaks for Sunday through Monday and fading out again by Wednesday afternoon.
So at least we should be able to find some waves tomorrow, so make sure you drop in if you get the chance.
Now talking about worthy causes, as we always do try to keep bringing awarness to and the good people at ROLE foundation are doing an excellent job with environmental issues around Bali and worth helping if you can. You can see what ROLE does by following this link.
