BALI
18th December 2012
Hello everyone and thanks for calling by the baliwaves.com (bringing a little bit of Bali to you everyday since 1999) for the lates news on today’s suurfing and weather conditions from here on the only place to spend your hard earned tropical surfing holiday dollars, BALI.
This morning we were up long before the sparrows and on our way back up Bali’s West Coast *highway heading for Balian. Ariving at 6.45AM to find an as expected empty line up and waist to head high plus waves rolling through. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy which lasted right through until 10.00AM. Also by this time there would have been around 15 surfers in the water. I also have to admit that today’s traffic on this notorious stretch of road was very sedate. Just to bring ya’s up to scratch on Balian, this is not a high performance average type of Bali wave but a more fun and mellow class. And if Balian is only in this size range you can pretty well rest assured there’s not too much happening anywhere else on the entire island. Balian picks up twice the size of most other locations.
Weather wise it’s been normal for thhis time of the year. Starting off hot and sunny and then cloud cover rolling in through late afternoon.
Ok folks take mercy on me today it’s been a very long day and all I want is food and the lounge. But check in again tomorrow cause if there’s any waves to be had we’ll be there.
Hey and I’d also like to welcome aboard our new advertisers and I hope you guys can give them some of your support as well. Fristly we have Steveo “custom boards” (banner), Steve lives and shapes on Australia’s Sunshine coast and makes some super cool surfboards made from laminated timber. His long boards look like they have come out of the 50’s, all beautifully crafted machines.
Secondly we’d like to welcome aboard “Lines Magazine” who are putting together some insane issue’s of late featuring Indonesia’s best surfers at some of Indonesia’s best ever surfing locations. So check these people out !

This is a shame, this surfing spot does not need to duckdive to go throw the waves!
