BALI
11th March 2013
Hello everyone and thanks big time for turning up at the baliwaves.com (Bali’s first surfing website, since 1999) for the latest news and best views on today’s surfing and weather conditions from here on the always “in season’ tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Alright I’m back home in Bali with my family again after one of my biggest missions successfully completed (I’ll fill ya’s in a little more on that later on) and totally stoked to be back here. I don’t think I coulda handled anymore steam clean mop adds, reality cooking shows, reality home renovation shows or the bloody love boat, for that matter anymore free to view TV in Oz.
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing small waves in the 1-2ft range (knee to waist high) breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left, with Middle’s picking up the most of it. At 7.00AM wind direction was coming lightly out of the North. So with this information I sent Ketut back out on the road with the camera gear heading for Canggu. And as it shows there were some fun sized little waves for the crew 5 surfers riding the left on Echo Reef another 15 or so riders on the left hand sand bar and around 30 surfers hustling on the right hand river mouth section.
Surfing conditions remained clean and true up until 9.30AM when the wind shifted more to the West and increasing in strength.
Hari Nyepi (Nyepi Day): My favorite day of the year when no one is allowed out of their homes / hotels, no cars or bikes, no airport, no lights or noise for a period of 24hrs in Bali only. My favorite day of the year just happens to be happening tomorrow.
Business / Bali lifestyle opportunity available; furnished 13 room / bungalow hotel with restaurant over looking one of Bali’s very popular all year round surfing locations. 5-10yr contract available, all paper work taken care of. Contact me if your seriously interested. AU$17,000. per year with 12 months advertising space on baliwaves.com included !
This hotel would make a perfect Surf Camp.
Good to hear you are back home safely Slim. Enjoy Nyepi and the peace and quiet. 🙂 looking forward to hearing from you once you get through your mountain of email. Cheers Jezza
