BALI
10th May 2013
Howdy folks and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com (leading the way since 1999) for the latest news and the best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the wave magnet capital, tropical surfing holiday island destination of BALI.
Ok well I’ve just finished editing this monster batch of photos from the Balinese Pipeline called Padang Padang. As usual it’s a tough place to photograph (not to mention surfing it) as the best sessions at this location are always in the affternoon and back lit. But still our man Ketut Pica has done a good job bringing home the bacon for us.
I’m not gunna be saying to much more (I’ve already said it a million times over the years) other than. Don’t forget when your surfing in Bali and that means anywhere in Bali make sure you give the local surfers all the waves they want, it’s their’s and if you have the right attitude to start with you’ll make friends and score these perfect waves. Leave the stink eye and snaking tactics back at your local.
This morning the 10th and it’s on again. Similar sized waves on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban with 3-6 footers breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Hard off shore wind now at 12.00PM and I’m hoping for another session down at Padang Padang again later this afternoon, so stay tuned right here to the original Bali surf report.
Special hello to Indo Legend Surfer Peter McCabe who’s going to be back in his old surfing grounds again soon.
You the MAN Ketut. Nice mix of clean lines and bikini lines. And you make the best coffee in bali.
Stay calm Stevie, he’s got another gallery ready to load up this afternoon
