BALI,
29th June 2013
Hello surfers and thanks for calling by the baliwaves.com (the original Bali surf report website since 1999) for the latest news and views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on your “must do” tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
This morning we kicked off our day with a 7.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left was showing in the chest to over head range. The tide was just starting to run in so Middle Reef was the best of the big 3. Surfing conditions were kinda clean but with the wind light on shore.
So I got Ketut to take a run down to the bukit on Bali’s southern end of the island. So the opening photos were taken looking down on Balangan beach and a handful of surfing photos. Balangan at 9.15AM had similar chest to over head high waves peeling off the point section. And with a pretty mellow crowd of only 25 surfers in the water.
From there Ketut kept riding south where he stopped on the bridge over Padang Padang and snapped a couple more photos of the Impossible’s line up including the beach at PP. Impossible’s looks like it was getting some nice lines in the 3-4ft range.
Ketut was down at Uluwatu shortly after that and after his initial call of 3-4ft he was soon calling 4-6ft with the swell jacking up some as the tide was filling in. At this point in the wind was still coming lightly outta the SW but surfing conditions were still clean enough for a tube ride or 10. And as Murphy’s Law always goes, as Ketut was on the ride home back to home base the SE Tradewind started to kick in.
The next tide today in Bali is going to be a 0.4mtr Low at 8.30PM.
Weather wise it’s been a absolutely perfect Bali holiday type day with pretty well just nothing but blue sky since early morning. Currently now at 3.40PM the temperature is still on 30 degree’s Celsius, wind outta the SE at 8-14kms. Just looking out my window now and down to the South there are some more big black cloud banks, but hopefully they’ll skip us.
The charts are calling for today’s swell to build some more through out the night and deliver us some more perfect waves again tomorrow. We’ll be out there keeping ya’s covered so stay tuned to the baliwaves.
Don’t forget if your into instagram then remember to tag #baliwaves next time and share your photos on the baliwaves.
Nice work on the photos today Slim and Ketut. Hard not to be pumped.
