BALI
15th July 2013
Hi surfers and thanks for taking the time out to check the baliwaves.com (since 1999) for the start of another surfing week and the run down on today’s surfing and weather conditions from right here on the always “in-season” tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
OK well Monday and it’s back to the grind and finding the right waves for the job at hand. But it was pretty good having a day off yesterday and kicking back at home with the family. Anyway enough bragging and as it shows in today’s photo gallery we were back out on Kuta Reef again this morning.
Our first surf check was at Canggu around 6.45AM this morning but only to find all of the 3 main breaks a pretty un tidy looking 2-4ft, blown by the SE Tradewind already up and hitting gusts of 20+kms.
From there we cruised back past Padma St for quick check but the tide was almost on the bottom of the Low so it was mainly just closing out in the 2-2ft+ range. Even looking all the way back down Kuta Beach there wasn’t a lot happening or too many surfers in the water.
So we waited for the tide to bottom out and start to run back in before grabbing a reef taxi and making our way out to KR. There was around 15 or so surfers already in the water and as the photos show there wa some fun rides and the odd little tube ride.
Weather wise today it hasn’t been too bad with a so far mostly sunny day. Right now at 3.45PM the outside temperature is still hanging around the 29 degree Celsius mark, Humidity level is ar 74%. Sunset going down at 6.15PM.
NB: Petrol price has finally been increased here in Indonesia with a 40% hike so you can expect prices right across the board to follow suit. Being a small island everything we need comes here by truck. I would expect our beloved Bintang beer to be the first to be jacked.
