BALI

Good morning surfers and thanks for calling by the baliwaves.com (the original Bali surf report since 1999) for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Well first off I guess I had better apologize for the conservative wave size calls I gave out through our Twitter reports yesterday morning. Our first surf check yesterday morning was on the Outer Reefs of Tuban where wave height was breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left / Right in the 4-6ft+ range. The tide was too low for Kuta Reef or Airports and Middle’s was mainly closing out. Wind direction was light off shore outta the East at the time.
Ketut then hit the road south down to the bukit peninsular stopping in at Bingin first (the last dozen photos in today’s gallery). Down at Bingin wave height was also maxing out with most waves swingin too wide and missing the barrel section. There were 10 surfers in the water though and the odd good one coming through.
From there Ketut’s next stop was the bridge over Padang Padang for a quick check on Impossible’s. Plenty of waves running down the long reef there in the 3-5ft class and quite a few surfers scattered down the reef.
Next stop and the end of the line on Bali’s south western end of her coast line was Uluwatu. Ulu had wave height pushing into the 8ft+ sector with only 10-15 surfers in the water mainly riding the outside Racetrack section. With a couple of riders sitting out on the Bombie as well.
Our G-Land surf report came through around 9.00AM calling in wave height to be also raging through in the 6-8ft+ sector from the Bombie to the Ledge. Money Tree’s also lining up all the way down to Speed Reef. Clean off shore wind and the promise of perfect waves with more water over the reef.

This morning the 30th and our 6.45Am surf check on the Outer reefs has wave height dropped back down into the 2-4ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. As expected yesterdays bomb swell was very short lived. We’ll be heading out again today with the camera equipment so stay tuned to the baliwaves.com (including Instagram and Twitter) for more up dates through out the day.
Weather wise so far today we have a mainly blue sky and a light off shore wind. Quite chilly outside and at 7.15AM the outside temperature is sitting on 24 degree’s Celsius.
