Hi surfers and welcome back to the baliwaves.com (keeping you in touch with Bali since 1999) for the latest news and absolute best views on todays surfing and weather conditions from right here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.

Ok so we had a different location in mind for today but after waking up at 5.00AM to find the wind howling outta the ESE we had to think again. But no need to waste an early start so we loaded up the wheels and made our way south to Bali’s premier surfing location of Uluwatu. And as it shows in our photo gallery it wasn’t a total waste of time to say the very least.

Arriving around 6.45AM to find wave height at Ulu still pushing the head to double head high range and only 20 surfers spread through the line up, sound good ? But by this time and according to Murphy’s Law the wind had totally backed off and switched to the Northern quadrant. But anyway we hung out for a little while, and I can’t really think of a better place to chill out at. Waiting for surfing conditions to clean up a little.

Eventually the wind did swing back to the ESE around 9.00AM and from there everything was looking good again. The Main Peak and Temple sections were delivering some nice waves and as the tide started draining out towards midday the Racetrack section was also doing it’s thing. Anyway I’m sure by now you’ve flicked through the photos and can see for yourself.

Weather wise it was just “one of those days” with pretty much solid cloud cover and the odd drop of rain through till midday.

Ok folks I gotta run cause there’s gunna be more waves to be had today and the baliwaves is gunna be out there chasing some up. So stay tuned to the original Bali surf report or at least follow us on Instagram and Twitter to stay in touch until I get back to home base.

Hey and don’t forget the RipCurl Padang Padang Cup (main event) is still on when it’s on with still plenty of waiting period time left on the clock. So hopefully we’ll get the swell and the contest will run. We’ll keep you in the loop with any news of the event.

NB: Petrol price has finally been increased here in Indonesia with a 40% hike so you can expect prices right across the board to follow suit. Being a small island everything we need comes here by truck. I would expect our beloved Bintang beer to be the first to be jacked.
