Ok so yesterday here in Bali the waves were still right down there in thge micro class so we called a lay day, other than have to drive all the way back up to Balian. Because that would have been the best option to find a wave in Indonesia. Instead I got Ketut take a “jalan jalan” walk up along the beach to Legian with the little digi matic camera and take a few postcard snaps. You’ll find these photos in the second half of today’s gallery.

This morning the 13th and we were hoping for some new swell to be showing and headed over to the East Coast to see what was happening at Keramas. As it shows in the photos I snapped there were a few 2-3 footers breaking on the main break. But surfing conditions were not the best to say the least. The wind was already light on shore and the tide dropping towards the lower end of the scale. But anyway there was only a dozen or so surfers in the water and my boys still got out there and enjoyed themselves. And that’s what it’s all about.

Wave height was showing signs of picking up and by 11.00AM wave height was a more consistent 3-4 foot. Back here in Tuban our afternoon surf check on the Outer Reefs was breaking in the 3-5ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left, and the promise of bigger and better waves for us tomorrow.

Sarge phoned through from Joyo’s G-Land “Jungle Camp” around 2.00PM this afternoon calling wave height peeling down Money Tree’s in the solid 4-6ft class with clean off shore wind.

Weather wise over on the East Coast it was a 50/50 sunshine and cloud type of day with the midday temperature easily busting through the low 30’s on the Celsius scale.
