BALI
17th – 18th January 2014
Hi folks and thanks for dropping by the baliwaves (since 1999) for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from here on the happy little island that gives out the best chance to score some perfect waves on your next tropical surfing holiday, Bali.
Ok well I’ve been laid up the last two days but starting to mend again now, that’s why it’s been a bit quite around these pages. But anyway Ketut has been helping out and making sure our crew have been getting waves. Today’s photo gallery covers the 16th and 17th with photos from 3 different breaks over on the East side of our island. This area in particular has 2 new resorts in the early stage of development, and will be going up right in front of some nice waves. Just to me, Keramas resemble’s one of the wild west gold rush towns with the rate it has transformed. One thing for certain the waves haven’t changed and are still just as perfect and powerful.
Today the 18th and with a another strong Westerly wind licking the West coast Ketut and the boys were back over on the East side but this time a little further up the coast from Keramas and found some clean waves in the 2-4ft range sharing with 11 other surfers. After a couple hours of that and a quick bite to eat the boys called back into Keramas on the way home for another quick session in 2-4 footers. By this time the wind was on shore, but also helping to keep the crowd down.
Weather wise the last couple of days have been pretty hot there and today more so with a midday high of at least 35 degree’s Celsius outta the wind.
I’ll get onto those photos later this evening, that is if none of the boys call around with some beers of course.
I am coming to Bali on Tuesday and would like to go surfing for the day or half day I will need a board can you help .I will be in Bali for 5 days at the rama
