New Year kicks of with fun waves and rain, 1st-2nd January 2014

Ok well moving right into 2014 and we were over on the East side of the island looking for waves on the 1st . The second half of today’s photo gallery will give you a pretty clear idea of wave height and conditions. Around the 2-2ft+ range with the wind light cross shore.

It rained all day on the 1st and it’s pretty well much been the same again today the 2nd. We went back over to the East Coast this morning ariving at 8.30AM to find a nice little bump in wave height and the wind only just light. There was 34 surfers on the main break today and only 8 down where we were surfing.

Yeah weather wise it’s been raining since late on New Year’s Eve and still plenty of big old black clouds up there this afternoon.

This New year period also has to have reached “the next level” in traffic congestion here in Bali. So be prepeared for some long waits if your going anywhere by car after 3.00PM.

Tide wise we also had a New Moon rise last night so we are going to be seeing some big tidal differences over the next few days.

Ok friends that’s me for now but if the rain lets up for us tomorrow we’ll be out there shooting some new surfing photos for ya’s.
