Ok so this mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was looking pretty good to tell ya’s the truth. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left was easily ranging in the 3-5ft class. The tide was again still too low for KR or AL but Middle’s was smoking through some super clean waves up to double head high. Surfing conditions were perfect with the wind light off shore out of the East.

But luckily for my crew we opted to head back over to the East side of the island and see if we could find some right hand kegs. And what do ya reckon after looking through today’s 60 strong photo gallery (a magazine quota of photos everyday on the baliwaves), cranking or what. I was also stoked to see our current World Champion Mr Mick Fanning on location this morning. I snapped a few photos of the camp but I couldn’t help but noticing some young local Kuta / Legian surfers a little bit further down the beach getting some super long and thick tube rides. So that’s where I wandered down to. The main break had a solid crowd of 35 in the water while 300mtrs down the beach there only 6 surfers in the water and way better waves, There was also a couple breaking down at Charlie’s with no one out.

Weather wise today it’s been hot and sunny with the humidity level red lining all day. Right now at 5.30PM the outside temperature is still a sultry 29 degree’s Celsius and the wind still out of the East 8knot.

The next tide will be a 0.6mtr Low at 7.00PM

Hopefully the wind will hold true for us tomorrow so we can sample some West Coast waves, tune in again and we’ll see.
