Ok so yesterday the 20th and our first surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing a much anticipated new swell. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left & Right at 6.45AM was a solid 3-5ft+. The tide was also on the bottom of the tide so there were even some big set waves peeling off out in the middle of “the bay” on Karang Tengah. No surfers in the water at the time but cars and bikes filled with surfers starting to pull in to the parking area.
So from there Ketut grabbed the camera epuipment and thought he’d take a spin down to Padang Padang to see if it was on. Arriving to find wave height in the 3-5ft range and not really doing it, there were 10 surfers already in the water. After hanging around for half an hour and no improvement Ketut back tracked to Bingin beach, and that’s where today’s photo gallery was captured.
Surf report from Joyo’s G-Land surf camp was calling in solid waves with Speedies in the 6-8ft range with afternoon off shore wind.

Weather wise it was just another hot and sunny day here on the holiday island. But the wind was all over the place, starting off outta the N then swinging a little more WN. We even had an hour or so of fresh off shore SE wind. Then back to the WNW through the afternoon.
Today the 21st and it’s another good looking day out there again. Wave height has bropped off some as expected with our 6.45AM morning surf check on the Outers showing 3-4ft waves between KR and AL. Right now at 10.30AM the mercury is sitting on a warm 28 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is on 75%. Wind direction coming fresh out of the East at 8-10knot.
News in from over on Bali’s East Coast this morning was calling 2-3ft waves on the main break at Keramas but off limit’s with the JPSA contest still running. But maybe some better waves elsewhere ? Tune in later this evening and see.
