Hello everyone and thanks for tuning into the baliwaves (the original Bali surf report, since 1999) for the start of another surfing week. For the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the first choice tropical surfing holiday island of Bali.

Well we were up before the birds again this morning and on our way over to the East side of the island, hoping to find enough swell and clean conditions for a bit of fun in the sun. Arriving just before 7.00Am to find 9 surfers already in the water with wave height in the 2-3ft+ range. Surfing conditions were still clean and glassy at the time with a light cross / off shore wind. The crowd did peak at 16 surfers around mid morning and then dropped back off to 5 surfers as the tide was starting to run out.

This afternoons 5.30PM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height in the 2-4ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Middle Reef was picking up the best waves with some solid over head sets while Kuta Reef and Airports were a more consistent head high. Surfing conditions were pretty good with an off shore ESE wind gusting up to 12knot.

Today’s G-Land surf report from Joyo’s G-land Surf Camp was calling in wave height at 4-6ft with clean off shore wind.

Weather wise there were some nice sunny patches through the morning through until midday when we started to get more cloudy cover.
