Hi folks and thanks a million for stoppin by the baliwaves (your friends in Bali since 1999) for the start of another surfing week here on the magical surfing paradise island of Bali.
Ok so yesterday while I was up at our mountain side family village taking care of some family village stuff, Ketut was down on the Southern end of the island for the low tide session on Uluwatu. So that’s where the first half of today’s 97 strong photo gallery was shot. The second half features the opening ceremony for this years Padang Padang RipCurl Cup with a big public attendance. The Padang Padang Cup is no officially on stand by since the 5th of July for that one swell that is going to make another tube riding champ.
Today the 7th and while I’ve been editing and trying to recuperate from 7hrs on Bali roads yesterday Ketut was over on the East Coast of Bali shooting more photos for us. Wave height was in the 2-3ft range with the occasional bigger freak set with super clean and glassy surfing conditions. Only 10 surfers left in the water by the time Ketut turned up over there with the tide starting to run out. We will get today’s photos edited up tonight and on line for you first thing in the morning ok.
Weather wise today there was a little more blue sky and sun shine about this morning. But by 10.00AM we are back to a mainly over cast sky and the old SE Trade wind is once again howling up to 20knots. Right now at 2.30PM the mercury is sitting on 29 degree’s Celsius with the Humidity on 73%
