BALI
22nd July 2014
G’Day everyone and cheers for dropping into the baliwaves (Bali’s original surf report website since 1999) for the latest news and hard to beat views on surfing and weather conditions right here on the place where we’d all rather be, Bali.
Well our mandatory surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height in the 2-3ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left, with a light Northerly wind on it. Just for the record my place is only a couple of minutes back from the beach in front of the Outer Reefs and from checking it out each here each morning I can pin just where the best waves are going to be.
So as it shows in today’s photo gallery we hit the road for Canggu, arriving at 7.45AM to find wave height a little bigger in the 2-4ft range with the odd slightly bigger freak set hitting the bombie and the right hander. The Sand bar also had some good ones but the bank has shifted due to the change in direction of the river mouth. So good work to the people who organized the new pathway in front of the sand bar that goes no where and changed the river mouth and taken 1000’s of tonnes of sand off the beach and into the line up….
Crowd wise as per usual at Canggu there were around 30 – 40 surfers on the right hander and another 15 – 20 on the sand bar with 10 – 20 surfers down on the Echo left hander.
Surfing conditions early were clean and tidy with a light off shore wind before turning more to the South and light on shore by 10.30AM. Even so there were still plenty of waves and still clean enough for a paddle.
Weather wise today it’s been a mostly hot and sunny day here on the holiday island and right now at 4.00PM the temperature is still a warm 28 degree’s Celsius, Humidity level is on 73%. Wind direction has now swung back to our preferred SE at 8 – 12knot.
Ok I’ve just loaded you lot up another photo gallery from our friends at Joyo
s G-Land Surf Camp so make sure ya check that out before ya check out. I’ve also got another solid body board photo gallery that will be on line as soon as this one goes up. So if your into it check it out.

Zombies…..ha ha ha. How hard is it to be friendly?
Yeah Jezza, once Aussies were know for an easy going “G’Day Mate” not so much anymore with the young un disciplined boys and girls of today. These days they seem more ready to say “get f….d or f… off” It’s easy to pick the generations that were disciplined at school and those that have not.
