Hi folks and seeing as though there’s only tiny waves been happening here in Bali it’s always good to get out and see some of the too many to list events and sights to see and do here on the island of the Gods.
So I’d just like to show ya’s some photos of the latest sea turtle release that happened yesterday the 5th here in Bali in front of the Bali Sea Turtle Conservation centre at Kuta Beach. As you can see in the photos there was a decent turn out of local and international visitors that came down to witness and participate in the sea turtle release. Right now is also “peak season” for the turtle’s to return to the beaches around Bali to lay their eggs, so this keeps the crew at Bali Sea Turtle Conservation Centre extremely busy gathering the eggs and hatching them in a more controlled environment at the Centre. Other than just leaving them to chance and the busy crowded beach of Kuta, Legian & Seminyak.
Yesterday there was close to 1000 baby seas turtle’s released and around this time of the year this can happen up to twice a week. So the Balinese are really doing their part if not more to help the sea turtle population survive and in fact thrive in the waters around Bali.
I have included some contact phone numbers in the photos and or you can always drop into the Bali Sea Turtle Conservation Centre on Kuta Beach and show some generosity by contributing a donation to these dedicated people.
