14th – 15th September 2014
Hello surfers and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves (Bali’s original surf report website since 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the place we’d all like to be, Bali.
Ok friends just a quick one today cause I’m running out of day light hours and I still need to get back down the beach for another recon on conditions for tomorrows surfing mission.
But as it shows in today’s 50 strong photo gallery yesterday the 14th my crew were up the coast surfing some perfect fun sized waves in the chest to slightly over head high range, and with only a handful of other friendly surfers.
Today the 15th and this morning we had more light on shore wind here on the West Coast of Bali with first up a light Westerly and then swinging more to the South. So we headed back over to the East Coast and had a session at Keramas. We arrived at 9.00AM as the tide was starting to run in with wave height in the 2-3ft class and light Southerly breeze. Crowd wise it was looking good with only 6 other surfers already in the water. But once again in just a matter of minutes there was suddenly over 20 surfers. But still it was pretty consistent and as the tide pushed in so did the swell and some solid 4-5 footers by the time we packed up at midday.
Weather wise it was hot and sunny over on the black sand beach of Keramas. Right now at 5.24PM the wind seems to have dropped off again but I’m thinking it’s still light on shore across the board. Hopefully tomorrow we’ll see some better wind.
