19th – 20th October 2014
Hi surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves.com (doing the best we can since 1999) for the latest news and best views from right here on every sane surfers favorite tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok so we’ve been going hard the last few days trying to find the best waves and the least crowds, from West to East Coasts here in Bali. So what I’ve got for in today’s 142 strong photo gallery is a mixture of just that. Starting off at Bali’s premier surfing location of Uluwatu for the first 70+ photos. The Ulu section features local surfer and my old friend Wayan “Gobleg” plus a young Australian ripper by the name of Louis Gillick.
The next part of the gallery was shot over on the East Coast where my crew surfed by themselves for a couple of hours. It wasn’t all time Bali waves but there were some fun 1-2ft+ little waves with clean conditions and it’s always best when there’s just “mates” in the water, right.
The last installment was shot back on the West Coast and a location that has some great left and rights bot impossible to avoid the crowds unfortunately. Plus there was some sorta contest being run on the right hander at the time as well.
Weather wise here on the holiday island it’s been just your average Bali “hot and sunny” type stuff, perfect for the beach or any out door activity for that matter.
This morning the 21st and I’ve been getting this stuff ready for ya’s since 5.00AM so I haven’t been down for a surf check as yet.. But I do know that the wind is light off shore out of the E-ENE and that there’s no clouds in the sky looking to the South (if that helps. Tune in later this evening to the original Bali surf report website and I’ll be able to give ya’s the full run down ok.
