BALI
1st – 2nd – 3rd October 2014
Hi surfers and thanks for calling by the baliwaves.com (going as hard as we can since 1999) for the latest news and hard to beat views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on every surfers favorite tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok well it’s been a huge weekend here for the baliwaves team and crew. Starting off with pre event drinks on Friday night for the annual Kuta Beach Fishing Tournament that went down on Saturday. So Ketut and I were out competing with Bali’s best all day on Saturday.
Yesterday the 2nd as you can see in our current 107 strong photo gallery. I took my crew over to the East Coast looking for some uncrowded waves. We ended up doing pretty good getting everyone stoked and surfed out in 2-4ft left and rights with only 2 other surfers in the water. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy on arrival eventually the wind did turn on shore after we enjoyed our 3.5 hour session.
Today the 3rd and we had to cruise back over to the same place again after such an epic session the day before. Today wave height had backed off a little but we were still happy to find 2-3 footers and only minimal surfers in the water. By the end of this mornings session there was just my two surfers in the water by themselves.
Weather wise over the weekend and today it’s been really hot here on the holiday island. Midday temperatures have been well over the 30 degree’s Celsius mark. Wind direction has been light and variable from North to South East. Right now (3rd Nov @ 4.30PM) the temperature outside is still sitting just under 30 degree’s Celsius with the Humidity on 62%. Wind direction is coming out of the SE at 6 – 9knot.
Next Swell, our next swell relief is not going to happen until this Thursday so expect more small waves happening until then. Hopefully we should see some head to double head high waves when it arrives.

Hi Jim, I am sorry to bother you but I was wondering if you had any contact with a resident of yours. His name is Matt Rohm. If you have any contact with him, could possibly let me know if he is okay? I haven’t heard from him in a while and that is not like him. I know that he severely hurt his leg and he was planning on flying home but haven’t been able to contact him. Thank you so much for your understanding.
Take care,
