Hello surfers and thnaks again for stopping by the baliwaves.com (the original Bali surf report website since back in 1999) for the latest news and hard to beat views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the only sane choice for your next tropical surfing holiday Bali.
Just to bring everyone up to scratch, as per normal no report usually means substandard waves or conditions and yesterday was both. There was a little bit of swell 1-2ft+ depending on where you looked I guess. But with intermittent rain for the best part of the day it just wasn’t worth the effort to go and shoot photos of small waves, right.
However this morning is marginally better with no rain so far today. This mornings 6.30AM surf check on the Outer reefs here in Tuban showing wave height a touch bigger with 2-2ft+ waves breaking from Kuta reef through to Airport Left / Right. Surfing conditions at the time were pretty clean and almost glassy with the wind coming lightly out of the NNW. The tide was running in and there were some smallies on all sections of the Outers.
I had Ketut take a run up the coast a little ways to see what was happening at Canggu at 6.50AM. Our man has phoned back in calling wave height in the 2-4ft range on all 3 of the main sections at Canggu. Hey and for all the funny guys that think baliwaves.com makes all the breaks crowded get this. The right hand (ex river mouth) had 40 surfers on it. The left hand sand bar section had a good 35 surfers all mover it, and Echo beach left’s had another 20 surfers out there. Surfing conditions at the time were clean and glassy with a touch of off shore breeze.
I’ve also loaded a few frames from the baliwaves Impossible’s webcam and it also shows the early frame or two a lot cleaner than the last frame I grabbed just after 9.30AM. Check out our webcam anytime you want for free.
Weather wise today well this morning started off overcast and grey with fairly calm conditions. But now at 10.00AM the sun is starting to bust through and indeed warm us up, sucking that moisture right out of the ground. The mercury is sitting on 28.5 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is approaching the 90% mark. Wind direction has turned more to the NW – WNW and increased up to 4-7knot.
The next tide today here on the West Coast of Bali will be a 0.5mtr Low around 2.15PM.

Great to see Bali cranking again and right on, what idiot would say that baliwaves makes Bali crowded bahahahahahaha morons… I imagine most of your demographic visitors are not in Bali but getting their Bali fix from where ever home is. Well done Slim and baliwaves keep it coming brother.
Hi Slim, can you tell me what has happend to the surf at Canggu since thay blocked the river mouth with the path/wall ?.I will be coming over in late April early May and I love the wave, is it still a nice wave .I have been told it gets a bit bumpy now .Thanks Baz.
They didn’t actually block the river mouth but when building their retaining walls they shifted the sand banked up on the beach and the river mouth flows out down towards the Sandbar instead of right in front of the right hander. I think the snad bar is not as good as it used to be but now there is a hollow right hander near the sand bar left
