BALI
29th – 30th March 2015
Hello surfers and welcome back to yuor baliwaves (The original Bali surf report website since back in 1999) for the latest news and our best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the best value for tropical surfing holiday dollar destination of Bali.
Yesterday the 29th and we were up and on the road again early so we didn’t get a chance to to do a surf recon on the Outer Reefs (Kuta Reef to Airports) here in Tuban. But I’d imagine it wouldn’t have been bigger than 1-2ft+ with Middle Reef getting the lions share.
But as it shows in today’s 50+ photo gallery we headed back up the West Coast a little ways to Canggu. Arriving at 6.45AM to find wave height in the 2-2ft+ range on all 3 of the surf breaks in the Canggu area. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with a light off shore wind that lasted through until 9.00AM when the SE’r started to kick in. The early morning crew was pretty mellow with the bulk of surfers arriving towards 8.30 – 9.00AM, including plenty of zombies that don’t know how to smile or say a simple “Hi or Hey”
Weather wise we have been burning the sunscreen up pretty fast with nothing much more than blue sky and sun shine here on Bali. The water temperature yesterday was again perfect for a paddle and a swim at 23 degree’s Celsius.
Ok friends it’s just gone 6.00AM on the 30th here in Tuban and I’m running late to get back out there on the wave hunt with my crew. So check in later this arvo and keep an eye on our twitter and instagram feeds through the morning.

Hi Slim.
Still always tune in for my Bali fix.Great site mate, keep up the good work. Also great to see some shots of some older guys, like the guy in the green rashy.Stylin.But is that a Mal?
Cheers to Baliwaves.
Absolutely love the water shots Slim!
So clear, so sharp, soooo gooood!
Hi Cob, well I was watching this old guy a couple a years ago and he always seemed to have his hands in the right place and I kinda adopted a similar approach 🙂 BTW Cob it’s not a mal the nose has a “point” and it’s only 7’11”. Mr Diverse delivered me a new 6’0″ late this afternoon, wait till you see this one in action bahahahahahahahaha Cheers Glandphoto / Wavey Dave T
Hey thanks Nikko, now I’m back in the water and almost healthy again I’ve been doing all sorts of water activities 🙂 I wish I had enough money to buy a water housing. Those photos on site are with my 100 buck digi matic 🙂 Cheers Mate and ya still owe us a visit I think.
Dave, don’t listen to Slim….. It’s a mal (ish). Sits further out than anyone, snags all the best waves, typical mal rider. I think I have restarted a monster asking him to come for a paddle a couple of weeks ago at Ulu’s
He goes alright though.
