Hello surfers and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (doing our best to keep you in the loop with Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the place most sane surfers would rather be, Bali.

Ok so yesterday as per our Twitter feeds Ketut and our crew headed up the coast to Balian. Knowing that it was going to be pretty well 0-1ft everywhere else in Bali, and that’s just about how it was. But as it shows in today’s photo gallery the boys did end up scoring some waist to head high waves up at Balian. At 6.00AM there was only 1 other surfer in the water so the boys were pretty happy and got straight out there. By 8.00AM there was an manageable crowd of 20 – 25 surfers in the line up. Surfing conditions remained clean and glassy through 2 surf sessions and the boys made the journey back to Tuban.

Today the 30th and it’s been flat for most of the the day with this afternoon surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban only now showing some 1-1ft+ waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left.

Hopefully we’ll see some more swell showing for us tomorrow and the shape of bigger and better waves on the way to us through May. Just for the record Bali / Indonesia usually gets her biggest swells on the year through May and September.

Weather wise today it’s been a mostly hot and sunn day with the afternoon cloud moving in.
