12th -13th April 2015
Hello surfers and thanks for calling by the baliwaves (The original Bali surf report since back in 1999) for the start of another surfing week and the latest news and our best views on surfing and weather conditions. From here on the only sane choice for your next hard earned tropical surfing holiday destination called Bali.
Ok friends here’s 95+ photos that Ketut shot yesterday up at the RipCurl Grom Search contest that was run and won at Padma St / Legian. As it shows surfing conditions were clean and tidy with just enough swell for the grommets to do their stuff. Congratulations to all division winners and competitors and it sure looks like there’s going to be so red hot surfers coming up through the Bali surfing ranks in the near future.
Today the 13th and seeing as though we never got in a surf yesterday we were pretty keen to get wet this morning. So we headed up the coast a little ways to Canggu early this morning. And I tell ya’s you had to be keen to surf what was on offer, 1-2ft waves with a cross off shore wind while the tide was running out (6.40AM). At least there wasn’t any zombies in the water at the time.
Weather wise today it’s been a mainly overcast morning through till now at 4.30PM with the sun just starting to bust out. Temperature wise right now we have a warm 29 degree’s Celsius, Humidity level is at 72%. Wind direction is now out of the East at 3-7knot+.
The next tide will be a 1.8mtr High @ 5.00PM
