Hi folks and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves (working through the weekends since back in 1999) for our Sunday Session on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the best bet for your next tropical surfing holiday, BALI.

Ok so kicking off today’s photo gallery with the photos we shot down at Uluwatu yesterday morning while the tide was just starting to run out. As it shows wave height was only in the waist to head high region with a some very inconsistent slightly over head freak sets.

Today the 17th and our 6.45am surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing a nice little boost in wave height. With waist to well over head high waves breaking from Kuta reef to Airport Left. Surfing conditions were clean enough at the time (and would have only improved through out the morning) with the wind coming lightly out of the NE. Kuta Reef was looking the best of the 3 main breaks with waist to head high waves and the off bigger freak set waves.

But we opted for the “low crowd” location and snuck over to the East Coast for a surf check on “Secrets”. Arriving around 8.15AM to find wave height in the 2-3ft range with the wind still blowing light off shore. There were no surfers in sight so the boys were pretty well straight out there. The wind did swing cross shore by mid morning but remained light and the waves were still clean and tidy. We also had a lazy lunch break up at Keramas in one of the local warungs. The wind by this time was fully on shore and the Tradewind going hard, but there were still 16 surfers out on the main break in 1-3ft waves.

Weather wise it’s been another beauty and just how you’d like every Sunday to be, hot and sunny.
