Busy morning at Keramas, 13th June 2015

Hi folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (The original Bali surf report website and leading the way since 1999) for and another weekend full of waves and the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the un disputed No.1 tropical sufing holiday destination, Bali Indonesia.

Ok friends of Bali my crew and I were up long before the sun popped up and on our way over to the East Coast. We were hoping.. to score some un crowded waves at Keramas seeing as though the last couple of days the SE Tradewind that blows on shore on the East Coast had been kicking in early, but not this morning. No this morning the wind was coming out of the North and off shore at Keramas. Anyway we pulled into Warung Cetu around 6.15AM to find wave height only breaking in the 2-2ft+ class, and the wind off shore. But get this there were only 6 surfers in the water then like a steady stream of ants they started filing out of the resort bringing the number in the water to over 20 by 6.30AM.

There was some fun waves at Keramas but there was apparently not a lot of surfers in the water having fun. I spoke with a few guys that had just come in calling bad vibes and aggro in the waist to head high waves. It’s a pity there wasn’t half a dozen local surfers in the water to settle the un friendlies down. My crew also said there was a lot of aggro in the water, so I was glad I had left my board at home and choose to shoot photos instead.

Weather wise on the East Coast this morning there was a lot of cloud cover not your ideal photo taking conditions especially with a 1000mm f/8 lens, but we got the job done. Back here in Tuban by midday it was just another hot and sunny day.
