BIG SUNDAY
Hello surfers and thanks for sticking around the baliwaves (keeping you in the loop with Bali since way back in 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali Indonesia.
Ok so here’s what you have all been waiting for I guess the high lights from this weekends mega swell. Like I said in yesterday’s up date I was posted at home on Saturday trying to keep a roof over my families head and unable to get down to the bukit with the camera for the start of this monster swell. But yesterday as promised we were down there and stoked to see those big long green lines wrapping around the Southern end of Bali.
Our first stop was Padang Padang around an hour and a half before the bottom of the Low tide and it was well and truly cranking with who’s who of the local Indonesian surfers getting shacked off their heads in barrel after barrel. We shot around 1000+ photos at Padang Padang and this is the first installment. Wave height at Padang Padang had to be pushing the 5-8ft+ sector and lining up for the bowl section perfectly. The last section of today’s gallery featuring BIG Uluwatu and I mean BIG, I was originally calling at 10 – 12ft but after 15mins of watching it from the safety of the cliff side warungs some set waves loomed up outta the horizon and peeled off in the 12 -15ft+ sector, and I don’t mean 12 – 15ft faces either, but the real deal.
Ok enjoy this batch and I’ll drop another 100 or so very shortly so watch this space right here on the original Bali surf report website right.
I’ve also had a heads up that our web cam technician has got our Impossible’s Web Cam fired back up so hopefully we’ll have that link back on line for ya’s ASAP so we can watch those lines peeling down the reef.
Hey and if anyone is looking for some stylish accommodation within walking distant to Uluwatu then look no further than right here.

Howdy Slim, sick job with the website and information you provide for the many punters that view your images and pages on baliwaves.com. Just wanted to pass comment on your recent batch of pics from Padang Padang, in my view images shot with this degree of zoom only tell a small part of the story and don’t really give the impact that a wider shot can. I love looking at the scene going on and around each wave, who’s inside whats the next section looking so on and so on. This is only one small man’s view and hope you take it for what it is, again great work Slim thanks for the website. Morts
