Hello surfers and thanks again for calling by the baliwaves (your window to Bali since back in 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali Indonesia.
Ok so just for starters here’s a quick photo gallery from our little surf trip we took yesterday the 25th. We were up and on the road around 4.45AM to make sure we got to where we were going as the sun rose, and that’s just about how it worked out. But we did stop in at Balian first for a quick check to make sure there was going to be enough size for Medewi to be worth the the further 30 odd minute’s on that knarly highway.
There was, with Balian breaking in the double head high range with 4 surfers in the water but lots more checking it out. We were stoked to find the long left hand waves of Medewi breaking in the head to well over head high class, wind off shore and only maybe only a handful of other surfers already in the water. So we had a nice long session getting lots of waves and lots of long paddle’s after each wave. Yesterday for some reason it seemed like every maniac truck and bus driver were all on the road at the same time.
Today the 26th and our first surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing 2-3ft waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left with the wind already blowing fresh off shore, tide dropping.
From there we took a run down for a quick surf check on Balangan (re Twitter) but there were 1-2 footers breaking there so we headed further South to Uluwatu. At first Uluwatu was only delivering waves in the 2-2ft+ range but as the tide bottomed out and started to creep back in there were soon 2-4ft waves breaking on Temple’s and the Main Peak. I’d also imagine that by now 2hrs later it could be bigger again. I’ll have to wait for our sun set surf check to find out. I had the 1000mm lens down there with me today and as soon as I get this report up I’ll start editing ya’s up another fresh photo gallery.
As you are all probably aware Indonesia has some solid swell in transit and predicted to smack into Bali tomorrow morning and continue to grow through out the day. So stay tuned right here to the original Bali surf report website ok.
