BALI / INDONESIA
26th – 28th July 2015
G’Day everyone and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves (bringing home the latest news and best views since 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the place we’d all rather be, Bali.
Ok so we’ve been pretty busy the last few days and to start off here’s 80+ photos that we have collected from both the East and West Coasts of Bali. The bulk of today’s gallery was shot down at Uluwatu yesterday morning, and the rest from a fun little session at Keramas on the 26th. I was up in the mountains on the 27th so I guess I’ll have to call that one a lay day.
We were up early and on our way to Keramas (26th) we had been waiting for the early morning wind to back off enough so as soon as it did we were on our way. Arriving to find 2-3ft+ waves on the main break with a clean off shore wind. Things were looking good with only 7 surfers in the water at 6.25AM. But by 8.00AM it was looking a little bit crowded and the wind was already starting to turn on shore. So we packed it up and my crew got in another session at Airport Left.
Yesterday the 28th we were up and on the road down to Uluwatu. With limited swell leaving us limited options to surf we knew Uluwatu would deliver the best conditions. Arriving around 7.00AM to see wave height breaking on Temple’s and the Main Peak at 3-4ft+ with clean off shore wind. Crowd wise as expected it was a little busy and hard work filling your quota.
This morning the 29th and our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing wave height to have backed off a little bit more at 1-2ft betweek Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The tide was fullish at the time but there might be a few sly ones on Middle’s later the afternoon on the Low
Ketut has called through from Uluwatu calling in 2-3ft waves breaking on the Main Peak and Temple sections with the odd slightly bigger set hitting the Peak. Good conditions with clean off shore wind and around 40 surfers in the water at the time.
The next Tide today in Bali will be a 0.4mtr Low around 3.00PM
Weather wise outside right now at 8.30AM we’ve got a mostly blue sky with some cloud drifting through. The temperature is sitting on 27 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is at 85%. Wind direction is fresh out of the SE at 10 – 15knot.
