BALI / INDONESIA
12th – 13th August 2015
Hi everyone and welcome back to the baliwaves ( the original Bali surf report since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok so we had a pretty big day yesterday starting off with our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left was still a nice 3-4ft with maybe an occasional bigger set wave hitting Middle Reef. Surfing conditions at the time were at there best with the SE Trade wind just starting to wind it up.
From there our next stop was at Balangan beach to see what was happening. Wave height at Balangan was also in that 3-4ft+ range with a fresh off shore wind on it. Crowd wise there were already 40 surfers spread through the line up.
Then from Balangan we kept heading South down to everyone’s special place, Uluwatu. Uluwatu was delivering some waves with a little more size and more punch in the 3-5ft+ range from Temple’s down through to the Main Peak with something like 60 surfers in total.
Weather wise yesterday morning we had a mainly overcast start with some sunny patchs then a mostly fine and sunny afternoon.
This morning the 13th and right now at 6.30AM we are just about to head back down to Uluwatu to check out the Quiksilver Uluwatu Challenge. So keep an eye on out Twitter and Instagram feeds through out the day.
Weather wise out there it’s looking a little dull and semi overcast with the SE Trade wind already starting to shape up.
I’ve also loaded another photo gallery from the boys at ESP who are on the scene daily down at beautiful Bingin beach.
