22nd September 2015
Hello surfers and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves (Bali’s original and first surfing website since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the only sane choice that’s going to get you perfect waves on your next tropical surfing holiday, Bali.
Yesterday the 22nd and we were up early for the dawn patrol and on our way over to the East side of the island by 6.00AM. Arriving at our first location by 6.30AM to find some perfect and some knarly A frames peeling off in the 5-8ft class with a clean off shore wind. There were some good ones coming through but it was better left to the Pro’s, unfortunately there wasn’t any of then around at that time of the morning. There was 4 other surfers trying to deal with these waves but not doing real well.
So from there we went a little further up the coast to Padang Galak and there wave height there was a lot more manageable in the chest to well over head range or 2-4ft. But it was mainly closing out with only a few right handers running for 20yrds or so.
Today’s photo gallery is thanks to Ketut who spent most of the day down at Bingin beach for the Bingin Boardriders Open Pro surfing contest. I’ve just loaded the photos in the order they were taken and as you can see Bingin was cranking for the boys. Unfortunately Ketut couldn’t stay right through till the end of the contest but hopefully some one will send us a press release soon with all the details, so stay tuned for that.
This morning the 23rd it has just gone 6.00AM here in Bali and as soon as it gets a little lighter I’ll be heading down the beach for a surf recon on the Outer Reefs of Tuban. This I can tell you already is that we do have some early morning cloud moving around and the wind is already fresh off shore (West Coast) outta the ESE at 10knot.
Ok folks stay tuned for further up dates through out the day.
Not sure about where to stay or where the best waves for you will be on your next Bali surfing holiday then you had better follow this link and see what we can offer you.
