BALI / INDONESIA
5th – 6th October 2015
Hi surfers and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves (keeping you in touch with Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok so we hoped you liked our last photo gallery from the big swell that hit us on the 4th, we certainly did and by the amount of traffic that has swamped baliwaves.com and our baliwaves face book page it already appears you did, thanks.
Yesterday the 5th we were up early and on the road long before sun up hoping to find some waves up at J-point on Bali’s East Coast. But not to be by the time our team pulled into the now paved car park there was only just waist to waist high plus sized waves and a good crew of surfers steadily arriving. So the boys jumped back into the car and headed to another sight hand set up. An as it shows in this current photo gallery there was plenty of swell and glassy clean surfing conditions. There was also around 15 or so surfers already in the water at this location.
This morning the 6th and our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing wave height to have geared back into the 3-4ft class between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The tide was pretty low at the time so Middle Reef was looking the best with some solid 4ft set waves. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with the wind light out of the WSW. I did go back down for another check around midday and the wind was back to a strong off shore SE’r and Kuta Reef was looking fun. But no shortage of surfers and the wind was pretty strong in your face off shore.
I had Ketut take a run down to Bingin this morning and he should be back any minute now. He did call through saying wave height was in the 3-4ft class on the mechanical wave of Bingin with around 10 surfers in the water. Hopefully he’ll have some more sick photos for us to load up so stick around the original Bali surf report ok.
Weather wise the day started off overcast with some light rain but that was already clearing away by 9.30AM. Now at 1.00PM we have blue sky and a midday temperature of 30 degree’s Celsius, Humidity level is on 79%. Wind direction is howling outta the SE at 10-15knot+

Hi Mick, thanks for the comment, yeah we have been surfing there for over 20yrs bro and running the baliwaves since 1999 and always let people know where we surf, we don’t give away semi secret locations if that’s what your saying. But Mick in no way would I call that place a secret. When was the last time you surfed there with a good swell on it and how many surfers were in the water. Just about all of japan knows of this place ??? We’ll just keep doing what we have always done Mick and that is promote Bali as a surfing destination. I hope you don’t have a problem with that bro.
Graham says
you promote Bali because Bali is the best surf destination in the World, just a pity about the complaining, arse holes that want it all for themselves, baliwaves rocks
