Ok I’m stoked to have been off island and visit my Mum for her 80th birthday party and to catch up with a few good old friends from yester year. Now I’m even more stoked to be back here in Bali. So I hope you make it over to Indonesia this year to score your share of perfect waves, I’ll gladly shout you one in front of a Bali sun set !

This morning the 16th and I knew there wasn’t going to be a hell of a lot happening surf wise. But before I could even get down to the beach for a surf check (still dark), Ketut was already halfway up the coast to Balian. He was calling around 15 surfers in the water at 7.00AM with wave height in the waist to head high region and surfing conditions were clean and glassy at the time.

By the time I wandered down for a surf recon on the Outer Reefs of Tuban at 7.30AM there was barely a ripple showing between Kuta Reef and Airport left. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with the wind just showing out of the WSW.

Weather wise early this morning we did get off to a very damp start but that was just about cleared away by 8.00AM. Right now at 11.30AM there’s a lot more blue sky over us and no sign of imediate rain, well here in Tuban anyway. Temperature wise the mercury is sitting on 29 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is on 74%. Wind direction is still coming out of the S-SW @ 4-6knot.
