BALI / INDONESIA
4th – 5th April 2016
Hello surfers and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves (Bali / Indo surf reports, by surfers for surfers since 1999) for our l;atest news and our best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Rightio here’s another fresh photo gallery that we shot down on the southern end of the island at Balangan. We arrived as the tide was just starting to run out to find wave height in the 4-6ft range. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with the wind off-shore. Crowd wise there would have only been around 12 surfers on the Point and another 10-15 scattered through the middle section. Your typical Balangan with say 1 in every 7 waves peeling off. We were also lucky enough to find a model for a photo shoot as well bahahaha.
Today the 5th and our 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing some nice waves in the chest to over head high class. The tide was at the top so Kuta reef and Airport left / Right had the goods. Surfing conditions at the time were clean and glassy.
Weather wise outside today it’s been hot and sunny and right now at 4.05PM the temperature is still a warm 33 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is at 74%. Wind direction is still coming out of the SSE – SE at 3 – 7knot.
Ok so far today we have already loaded surf up dates from our friends at Joyo’s G-Land Surf Resort, East Java and The Kandui Surf Resort, Mentawai Islands. So make sure you check out those reports while your here.
Our friends from ESP down at Bingin beach have also dropped off a disk with photos they shot yesterday and as soon as we get them edited you will have them on line, I heard it was pumping down there yesterday.
Coming up on the 13th of April Keramas Beach will be closed to the surfing public for the annual JPSA surfing contest. I think it runs for the best part of a week.
Come to Bali for a week this September 2-9. Watch Tex Perkins (The Cruel Sea, Beasts etc) and Phil Jamieson (Grinspoon) perform 6 gigs in 7 days at Hidden Valley, Resort on The Bukit. Slick accom at unbelievably affordable rates.
