BALI / INDONESIA
25TH – 26TH APRIL 2016
Hello surfers and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (Keeping you in touch with Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and the best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok so with our new swell setting up nicely we thought we’d head back down to the Southern end of the island. To see what was going down at Bali’s premier surfing location of Uluwatu. Arriving to find wave height in the 3-5ft range with clean off shore wind. But it wasn’t long afterwards that some of the bigger set waves were in the 6ft plus plus catagory. Main Peak and Temples was where the best waves were breaking through the incoming tide.
Weather wise it just another hot and sunny day here in South Bali with the midday temperature a warm 35 degree’s Celsius.
Today the 27th and there’s still plenty of waves breaking all over the island. Our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing wave height in 2-4ft+ class between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The tide was still a touch low so Middle Reef had the best waves. I’d imagine there would be some nice ones on Kuta Reef and Airport Left / Right right now.
Ketut has phoned through from over on the East Coast calling in wave height in the 3-5ft+ range with a light off shore wind at the time. So we will have to wait and see what Ketut’s photos come out right.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 2.2mtr High around 12.30PM.
Weather wise outside right now at 10.30AM the temperature is warming up and alreayd on 31 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is @ 75%. Wind direction is coming out of the East at 6-10knot

Love, lurve, lovin ya work boys… awesome shots as always!
the boaties at KR didnt want to head out to middles or AL.. Pushing they kept saying… only wanted to go to KR and from the beach they had to time the channel in the morning.
Finally convinced one to to take the risk, Middles was ok but the bigger ones looked to be running over the reef rather than run along it…sets were in the 6_ region for sure.
AL just wasnt handling it and had no channel.
Went to AR and only a mild 4′ and tame… TT seemed to have longer ones running?
came back an stopped of for a couple of double up take offs at KR on the higher tide… not epic and also a tame 4 ft ish.. bigger ones were standing up out the back but not coming through as well…just not hitting the reef right…more wall than barrel.
Canggu in the arvo was windblown and outta shape and bigger than all else…?
wind didnt die down and tide got too low so no arvo session on the cards.
next day it was smaller cleaner and more lined up everywhere…
gezz ya gotta love Bali
at least for the waves…magic
